The 1414N4PHS16L6 is a square 12 x 12 x 6 in (305 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X junction box made from 316 stainless steel, in the 1414 N4 PH SS Series with continuous hinge door and clamps. The square face and 6 in depth give a roomy layout for terminal wiring, instrument or control housings exposed to hose-down, heavy moisture or corrosion.
The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.
An inner panel of 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm) is included. The drawing lists an 11.30 x 11.30 in door opening, 5.35 in usable depth, 11.15 x 11.15 in of clear space on the door and a 13.50 in overall height including brackets. Shipping weight is 20 lbs (9.07 kg), packaged in a box.
The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSL6.
