The 1414N4PHS16K is a 12 x 10 x 5 in (305 x 254 x 127 mm) 316 stainless steel Type 4X junction box in the 1414 N4 PH SS Series. With a 5 in depth and a 12 x 10 in face, it gives panel builders and electricians more room for control components, terminal blocks or instruments in washdown, wet or corrosive environments than the smaller models in the range.
The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.
The inner panel measures 10.75 x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm). The manufacturer drawing shows an 11.30 x 9.30 in door opening, 4.35 in usable depth, 11.15 x 9.15 in of clear space on the door and an overall height of 13.50 in including the mounting brackets. Shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg) in a box.
The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSK.
