Hammond 1414N4PHS16I 10x8x4 in 316 Stainless Type 4X Junction Box

The 1414N4PHS16I is a 10 x 8 x 4 in (254 x 203 x 102 mm) Type 4X junction box in 316 stainless steel, from the 1414 N4 PH SS Series with continuous hinge door and clamps. The 10 x 8 in face gives room for a larger terminal strip or small control components while staying 4 in deep, making it a practical choice for instrument enclosures and terminal wiring boxes in hose-down, wet or corrosive locations.

The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.

The included inner panel is 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm). On the drawing, the door opening is 9.30 x 7.30 in, usable depth is 3.35 in, clear space on the door is 9.15 x 7.15 in and overall height including brackets is 11.50 in. It ships boxed at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).

The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSI.
