The 1414N4PHS16K6 is a 12 x 10 x 6 in (305 x 254 x 152 mm) Type 4X junction box in 316 stainless steel, part of the 1414 N4 PH SS Series. It shares the 12 x 10 in face of the 1414N4PHS16K but is a full inch deeper, giving 5.35 in of usable depth for deeper components on the inner panel. It suits OEM engineers and electricians outfitting hose-down, wet or corrosive areas.
The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.
The inner panel is 10.75 x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm). From the drawing: door opening 11.30 x 9.30 in, clear space on the door 11.15 x 9.15 in, and overall height with brackets 13.50 in. The shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg), boxed.
The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSK6.
