Hammond 1414N4PHS16M6 14x12x6 in 316 Stainless Type 4X Junction Box

The 1414N4PHS16M6 is a 14 x 12 x 6 in (356 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X junction box in 316 stainless steel from the 1414 N4 PH SS Series. Its taller 14 in body provides more vertical panel space than the 12 in models, useful for longer terminal rows or stacked control devices in places where equipment is hosed down, very wet, or at risk of corrosion.

The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.

The inner panel measures 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm). The drawing shows a 13.30 x 11.30 in door opening, 5.35 in usable depth, 13.15 x 11.15 in clear space on the door, and 15.50 in overall height including brackets. The enclosure ships in a box at 21 lbs (9.53 kg).

The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSM6.
