Hammond 1414N4PHS16E 6x6x4 in 316 Stainless Type 4X Junction Box

The 1414N4PHS16E is a square 6 x 6 x 4 in (152 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 4X junction box made from 316 stainless steel, part of the 1414 N4 PH SS Series with continuous hinge door and clamps. It gives installers a small, square footprint for terminal wiring, instrument or control housings in locations where equipment is hosed down, stays wet, or faces corrosion.

The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.

Its inner panel is 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm). According to the drawing, the door opening is 5.30 x 5.30 in, the usable depth 3.35 in, and the clear space available on the door 5.06 x 5.06 in; the overall height including brackets is 7.50 in. The part ships in a box at 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
