Hammond 104S 600:150 Ohm CT 500 mW Potted Output Transformer

The 104S is a miniature output audio transformer from the 104 Series with a 600 ohm center-tapped primary and a 150 ohm center-tapped secondary. Rated at 500 mW, it suits P.C. board designs that need a balanced, sealed output transformer between a 600 ohm stage and a 150 ohm load.

Both windings are center tapped, and the series uses a bifilar winding technique on center-tapped units for balanced resistive and capacitive characteristics. Rugged black epoxy potting creates a completely sealed unit that withstands severe environmental conditions including those of MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S). The 104S mounts on 0.025 in square typical pins, 0.11 in +/-15% long, and unused connections have no pin.

The 104S handles a maximum primary DC of 6 mA. DC resistance is 47 ohms primary and 10.6 ohms secondary, +/- 15%. It delivers 500 mW output with 1 dB insertion loss and a -1 dB low frequency roll-off at 200 Hz. Peak working voltage is 200 V, and the outline is drawing figure 4.

The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg). A long version with the same impedances is listed as the 104SL.
