Key Features

  • Interstage: 20000 ohm primary, 1000 ohm CT secondary
  • 35 mW output with 1 dB insertion loss
  • 3.2 mA max primary DC
  • -1 dB at 200 Hz low frequency roll-off
  • Bifilar-wound center-tapped secondary
  • Sealed epoxy to MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S) conditions
  • 0.025 in square pins, 0.11 in long; 200 V peak

The 104K is a miniature interstage audio transformer in the 104 Series with a 20000 ohm primary and a 1000 ohm center-tapped secondary. It is aimed at P.C. board designs coupling a high-impedance stage into a lower-impedance, balanced load.

Rugged black epoxy potting gives a completely sealed unit that withstands severe environmental conditions, including those of MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S). Its center-tapped secondary uses the series' bifilar winding technique for balanced resistive and capacitive characteristics. Mounting is by 0.025 in square pins (typical), 0.11 in +/-15% long, and connections that are not used have no pin.

Ratings for the 104K:

  • Maximum primary DC: 3.2 mA
  • DC resistance: 790 ohms primary, 125 ohms secondary, +/- 15%
  • Output: 35 mW
  • Insertion loss: 1 dB
  • Low frequency roll-off: 200 Hz at -1 dB
  • Peak working voltage: 200 V
  • Drawing figure: 6

The 104K is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships at 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg), and carries UPC 623980180007. Its 20:1 impedance ratio sits between the 104H (10000 to 2000 ohms CT) and the 104L (25000 to 600 ohms CT) in the series.

Ideal For

  • High-impedance amplifier interstage coupling
  • Balanced drive via a center-tapped secondary
  • Sealed PCB audio circuits
