The SHG14000 is a 15 W PTC enclosure heater that protects enclosed electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment from low temperatures, condensation and corrosion. It is the lowest-wattage model in the SHG range (15 W to 150 W), for OEM engineers and maintenance teams who need a stable temperature environment inside an enclosure.
The PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resistor has a self regulating surface temperature and maintains a stable temperature environment, helping critical components perform with consistent reliability for longer periods. Output is 15 W at 68 °F (20 °C) ambient, with a maximum (inrush) current of 1.1 A. The heating body is anodized extruded aluminum, 2.60 in (66 mm) long.
The operating voltage is AC 110 - 250 V (the part listing states AC/DC 110-250 V). Push-type terminals accept stranded and solid wire, 3 x AWG 20 - 16 (0.5 - 1.5 mm2), for quick and easy wiring. The heater clips onto 35 mm DIN rail with the clip included, and it is used in combination with a Normally Closed thermostat or humidistat.
