The SHG14007 delivers 100 W, the highest output available in the SHG Series' 5.50 in (140 mm) body. It is intended for industrial panel builders, integrators and facilities staff protecting enclosed electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment against low temperatures, condensation and corrosion in larger cabinets or colder locations.
Inside is a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resistor with self-regulating surface temperature, set in an anodized extruded aluminum heating body. The heater maintains a stable temperature environment so critical components can perform with consistent reliability for longer periods.
The SHG14007 is rated 100 W at a 68°F (20°C) ambient temperature, operates on AC 110-250 V, and has a maximum inrush current of 5.0 A. It is used with a Normally Closed thermostat or humidistat for automatic switching. Push connectors accept stranded and solid conductors from AWG 20 to AWG 16 (0.5-1.5 mm²) for quick, easy wiring.
The drawing gives a 5.510 in (140 mm) length and a 2.000 in (50.8 mm) by 2.800 in (71.1 mm) profile. Installation is by clip onto 35 mm DIN rail, clip included. The heater is IP20, Protection Class I (test voltage 1600 V), UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE approved, and RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 1.5 lb (0.68 kg).
