SDCSR3 is a set of four 3U square-hole rack rails made to fit Hammond SDC Series multi-mount wall-mount rack cabinets. It gives IT, telecom and low-voltage installers a square-hole (cage nut) rail option for mounting 19-inch rack equipment in a 3U enclosure, whether the cabinet is being built up for the first time or the original rails need replacing.
The rails are formed from mild steel and painted black smooth. Within the SDC Series, the cabinet frame, cover and doors are 16-gauge steel and the rails are 12-gauge, and the black powder coat finish used on the series is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant for a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant result suited to indoor environments.
Each rail measures 5.28 in (134 mm) high, 1 in (25 mm) wide and 3.04 in (77 mm) deep, with the 5.28 in dimension corresponding to 3U of mounting height. Hole spacing is typical E.I.A., with 0.375 x 0.375 in square cutouts and 1.25 in (32 mm) per rack unit. Mounting slots measure 0.31 x 0.50 in. Shipping weight for the set is 2.4 lbs (1.09 kg).
Mounting hardware is included and SDCSR3 is sold in sets of four rails, so a cabinet can be fitted front and rear. The SDC Series rails carry integrated rack unit markings to speed up equipment layout. Made in Canada, SDCSR3 is USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant, RoHS compliant and REACH compliant, with ECCN EAR99.
