Hammond SDC243U17BK 3U Enclosed Wall-Mount Cabinet, 17.5" Deep

The SDC243U17BK is a 3U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet built to securely house 19-inch rack equipment in space-constrained locations. It suits small network closets, retail and branch sites, telecom and low-voltage installations, and edge deployments where switches, patch panels or media converters must be protected from dust and tampering while keeping floor space free.

Construction is 16-gauge steel for the frame, cover and doors, with heavier 12-gauge rails. The four included mounting rails are square-hole type with 10-32 cage nuts and carry integrated rack unit markings for fast, repeatable equipment layout. The finish is a RAL9005 black powder coat that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant, providing a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant surface for indoor environments. The cabinet body is mild steel and the removeable cover ships installed.

Overall dimensions of SDC243U17BK are 7.47 in high x 24.00 in wide x 17.50 in deep (190 x 610 x 445 mm), giving a usable mounting area of 5.25 in H x 19.00 in W x 15.50 in D. Mounting depth is adjustable from 7.22 in minimum to 16.01 in maximum. Static load ratings for the series are up to 150 lb wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding. Shipping weight is 28 lbs (12.70 kg).

An accessory panel supports 2.5", 2.0", 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/8" and 7/8" conduit knockouts for flexible cable entry, and fan knockouts allow optional fan kits for active cooling. Optional 3U solid, vented, cable-entry/fan and conduit/fan cover panels and locking doors let the enclosure be configured for airflow or added protection.

Assembly hardware is included (mounting hardware to the wall is not). The cabinet is TAA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, and manufactured in North America.
