Hammond SCREW1224-50 50-Pack 12-24 Rack Screws with Nylon Washers

SCREW1224-50 is a 50-piece package of 12-24 rack mounting screws with factory-installed nylon washers, supplied in a plastic jar with a screw lid. It is intended for IT and network installers, AV integrators, electricians and facilities teams who mount equipment to 12-24 tapped rack rails in rack cabinets, wall-mount cabinets and open frame racks.

Each screw is a Quadrex truss head fastener made from 1022 low carbon steel with a black oxide finish, heat treated to ANSI B18.6.3 specification. The Quadrex combination recess accepts both Phillips and Robertson (square) drivers, so technicians can work with either tool. A self-guiding pilot point on the tip helps align equipment and start threads, reducing cross-threading and speeding up installation.

The captive black nylon 6/6 washer, 0.429"-0.439" outside diameter and 0.030"-0.040" thick, helps protect painted rack rails and equipment faceplates from scratching as the screw is tightened. The screw itself has a 12-24 UNC-2A thread, an overall length of 0.720"-0.750", a head diameter of 0.425"-0.448" and a head height of 0.103"-0.118".

These screws are manufactured to fit Hammond rack systems and most industry-standard rack rails, making SCREW1224-50 useful for new rack builds, equipment upgrades, ongoing maintenance and replacing lost or damaged rack screws.
