Hammond SCREWM6-100 M6 Rack Mounting Screws, 100-Pack Black Oxide

SCREWM6-100 is a 100-piece package of M6 rack mounting screws supplied in a plastic jar with a screw lid, intended for IT and AV integrators, data center technicians, electricians and facilities teams who mount equipment to M6-threaded rack rails. Each screw carries a factory-installed nylon washer and a self-guiding pilot point (starter tip) that helps align equipment and start the thread, reducing cross-threading and installation time.

The screws use a Quadrex truss head with a #2 combination Phillips/square recess, so they can be driven with either a Phillips or a Robertson screwdriver. Square penetration gaging depth is 0.060"-0.075". Construction is low carbon steel, through hardened per ASME B18.6.3, with a black oxide coating for a professional appearance and wear resistance. The captive washer is black 6/6 nylon, 0.429"-0.439" outside diameter and 0.030"-0.040" thick, and helps protect painted rack rails and equipment faceplates from scratches.
