The HGV75 is a pair of 750 mm (29.53 in) Vertical Grid Straps for the HME modular freestanding enclosure grid system. It is one of the shorter vertical straps in the HMEGS Series, suited to panel builders and OEM engineers who need a short run of vertical mounting surface inside a cabinet rather than a full-height strap.
Each strap is 75 mm (2.95 in) wide and formed from 14 gauge galvanized steel, listed by Hammond as plated steel. The drawing shows an overall length of 749 mm (29.49 in) against the 750 mm nominal size. Like all HMEGS grid straps, the face carries a pattern of alternating square holes for cage nuts and round holes for M5 or #12 screws at standard 25 mm centers.
Vertical Grid Straps mount flush to other straps using the included butt end bracket, creating a smooth, continuous mounting surface. The series ordering table lists no full-height HME cabinet fit for the 750 mm length (n/a), so the HGV75 is intended for partial-height vertical runs. For reference, the series notes that a full height vertical strap requires 2 x 75 mm Depth Grid Straps for the top and bottom.
Square holes accept the cage nuts listed for the Grid System, and round holes accept the listed M5 and #12 thread forming screws, such as 1421HPTM525 (Hex/Phillips threadrolling M5 x 12 mm) and 1421CT25 (Pan/Phillips threadrolling #12-24 x 0.5 in).
