Hammond SCREW1032-50 10-32 Rack Mounting Screws, 50-Pack With Washer

SCREW1032-50 is a 50-piece package of 10-32 rack mounting screws for IT, AV and electrical installers who mount equipment into 10-32 threaded rack rails. Each screw uses a Quadrex truss head with a self-guiding pilot point and a factory-installed nylon washer, so patch panels, switches, servers, UPS units and PDUs can be started and seated quickly without cross-threading or scratching painted rails and faceplates.

The screw body is 1022 low carbon steel with a black oxide finish, through hardened per ASME B18.6.3 to RC 25-38 to resist stripping under repeated service. The captive washer is black nylon 6/6, 0.429"-0.445" outside diameter and 0.024"-0.040" thick with a 0.203" reference inside diameter, and it is specified to remain captive while staying free to rotate as the screw is driven.

Key dimensions from drawing SCS87100 include a 0.425"-0.448" head diameter, 0.116"-0.128" head height and a 0.720"-0.750" length, with a 10-32 UNF-2A thread (3A after plating) and a 0.120"-0.127" diameter pilot tip projecting 0.089"-0.099". The screw can be fully threaded.

The Quadrex combination recess accepts both Phillips and Robertson (square) drivers: #2R Type-III square recess penetration gaging depth is 0.068"-0.080", and #2 Phillips/square recess penetration gaging depth is 0.088"-0.100". This makes SCREW1032-50 a practical standardization item for field service kits, installer tool bags and high-volume deployments.
