Hammond RZ0256C 82x80x55 mm Clear Lid Polycarbonate Enclosure

RZ0256C is the clear-lid version of the 82 mm x 80 mm x 55 mm (3.23 in x 3.15 in x 2.17 in) RZ Series enclosure. The see-through polycarbonate lid lets technicians read displays, meters or indicator LEDs without opening the box, making it a good fit for compact monitoring and control electronics.

The body is light gray polycarbonate (RAL7035) with a smooth surface, rated UL94 V-2 and specified for -40 °C to +130 °C; the series suggests polycarbonate for outdoor use. A two-piece tongue & groove gasket seals the lid against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. The self-captivating lid screws cut their threads on first installation, and corrosion resistant hardware is used.

Inside you get 49.00 mm [1.93 in] of height and 72.72 mm [2.86 in] of width. Internal mounting points accept M3 self-tapping screws and are designed for P.C. boards up to 73.88 mm x 71.88 mm or for DIN rail mounted components. Wall-mounting holes are located outside the gasket perimeter through box-blind hole construction.

Each RZ0256C ships in a bag at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg) with the box, clear lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws. Tighten to (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. Spare gaskets: RZ0366GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980745602. For a non-clear lid choose RZ0256.
