Hammond RP1455 220 x 165 x 60 mm Light Gray ABS Watertight Box

The RP1455 is a light gray general purpose ABS enclosure with an opaque lid, sized at 220 x 165 x 60 mm (8.66 x 6.50 x 2.36 in). It is a shallow, wide box for projects that need board area more than height, such as controller boards, interface electronics and small DIN rail assemblies.

The ABS body is rated UL94 HB. Its lid closes onto a two piece tongue & groove joint with an EPDM string gasket that the installer fits, giving an IP65 rating against oil, dust and water. Self captivating M3.5 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant bushings, and the lid holes are threaded the first time the screws are installed.

Usable space is 211.37 x 156.37 x 53.50 mm (8.32 x 6.16 x 2.11 in). A P.C. board up to 205 x 150 mm mounts on posts that accept M3 self-tapping screws. A 0.40 mm deep recess in the lid accepts a membrane, label or silkscreen for branding or controls.

The RP1455 ships in a bag with box, lid, string gasket, four PCB screws and four lid screws, weighing 1.11 lbs (0.50 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant. For this size, STC146 and STA146 inner panels, RP145GASKET replacement gaskets and MF0050 / MF0055 mounting feet kits are listed. Hammond can factory modify the enclosure (milling, drilling, printing) and provides solid models in .stp or .x_t.
