Hammond RCHD1914BK1 8U Solid Locking Door, Black Textured Steel

The RCHD1914BK1 is an 8U solid locking door made exclusively for use with the RCH Cabinet Series. It gives IT, AV and facilities teams a way to close off and secure an open RCH cabinet so that patch panels, switches and active gear are protected from casual access and incidental contact.

The door is built from 16-gauge steel and finished in a rugged textured black powder paint coat intended to match RCH enclosures. The listed material is mild steel, and the powder paint finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. The companion part number in this size, RCHD1914LG1, is the same door painted RAL7035 gray textured if a light gray finish is preferred.

This size suits an RCH cabinet with a 14.00 in (356 mm) panel height, equivalent to 8U of rack-mount space. Per the drawing, overall door dimensions are 18.88 in (479 mm) wide by 13.88 in (352 mm) high with a .50 in (13 mm) depth at the top view, and there are four .22 in (6 mm) mounting locations plus four .19 in (5 mm) diameter holes. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

Because the door and cabinet are symmetrical, RCHD1914BK1 can be mounted with either a right- or left-hand hinge to suit the installation. An installed lock and two keys are supplied, along with mounting hardware. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases, and manufactured in North America.
