Hammond RASV190318BK1 2U 18-Inch Deep Vented Rack Shelf, 100 lb

The RASV190318BK1 is a 2U fixed, vented universal rack shelf for standard 19-inch EIA racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need a dependable support surface for equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted — switches and network hardware, amplifiers and media devices, small servers, UPS units and test gear.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in a painted textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The shelf surface is vented with 0.24 x 1.50 in slots to help air move around equipment rather than trapping heat, and a stiffener lip is folded up at the back for added rigidity and equipment retention.

Mounting dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide with an 18.00 in (457 mm) usable depth, occupying 2U of rack space. The front panel measures 19.01 in (483 mm) wide, and the shelf pan is 17.50 in (444 mm) wide with a 17.36 in (441 mm) inside dimension. Suggested load capacity is 100 lbs (45 kg); Hammond notes this product was tested to double the suggested load rating. Shipping weight is 10 lbs (4.54 kg).

The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, and the shelf can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes. RASV190318BK1 is made in Canada and is USMCA, REACH and TAA compliant.
