Hammond RASV190315BK1 2U Vented Rack Shelf, 15 in Deep, 100 lb

The RASV190315BK1 is a fixed, vented universal rack shelf that occupies 2U of a standard 19-inch EIA-compliant rack or cabinet and provides a 15-inch-deep surface for equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted. It is a practical choice for IT, AV and industrial installers who need to place amplifiers, media devices, small servers, UPS units, network gear or test instruments inside a rack.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel with a stiffener lip folded up at the back for added rigidity, and the suggested load capacity is 100 lbs (45 kg) — a rating Hammond states was tested to double the suggested value. The vented pattern uses 0.24 x 1.50 in venting slots to help air move around the supported equipment; a solid, un-vented equivalent (RASU190315BK1) is offered in the same size if maximum surface support is preferred over airflow.

Mounting dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high x 19.30 in (490 mm) wide x 15.00 in (381 mm) deep, with the drawing showing an overall front width of 19.01 in (483 mm), an 18.32 in (465 mm) mounting hole span using 8X 0.25 x 0.38 in slots, and an overall shelf depth of 17.50 in (444 mm) including the mounting flange. Shipping weight is 7.3 lbs (3.31 kg). Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf.

The finish is a textured black powder coat described by Hammond as GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. RASV190315BK1 is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, made in Canada, and can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes.
