Hammond RASU190520BK1 3U 20-Inch Deep Solid Rack Shelf, 200 lb

The RASU190520BK1 is a 3U universal fixed rack shelf with a solid (un-vented) 20-inch deep surface, sized for standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need to place equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted — small servers, UPS units, amplifiers, media devices, test gear and peripherals — on a stable, cantilevered platform inside the rack.

Construction is mild steel in 14-gauge, finished in a black textured powder coat. The solid deck provides maximum surface support for equipment with small or irregular footprints, while a stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps keep equipment located on the shelf. The suggested load capacity is 200 lbs (91 kg), and Hammond notes this product was tested to double the suggested load rating.

Mounting dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 20.00 in (508 mm) deep, occupying 3U of rack space. The drawing shows a 19.01 in (483 mm) wide mounting panel with eight 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots and a usable shelf width of 17.50 in (444 mm). The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, and the shelf can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf.

RASU190520BK1 is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, made in Canada, and classified EAR99 with a shipping weight of 14 lbs (6.35 kg). The black powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental requirements. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes, replacing the legacy RACS Series.
