Hammond RASU190516BK1 3U Solid Rack Shelf, 16 in Deep, 200 lb Load

The RASU190516BK1 is a 3U fixed universal rack shelf in the solid (un-vented) configuration, built to carry equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted. It suits IT and network gear, AV components such as amplifiers and media devices, small servers, UPS units and peripherals, and it can also be mounted externally to turn rack space into a usable work surface.

Construction is mild steel in 14 gauge with a black textured powder coat finish. The finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The solid deck provides maximum surface support for equipment with feet, pads or irregular footprints; a vented version is offered elsewhere in the RAS Series when airflow matters more.

Mounting dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide with a 16.00 in (406 mm) depth, occupying 3U of rack height. The drawing shows an overall panel width of 19.01 in (483 mm), a top-deck width of 17.50 in (444 mm) and 17.36 in (441 mm) inside, with a front-view height of 5.22 in (133 mm). A stiffener lip is folded up at the back only. Suggested load capacity is 200 lbs (91 kg), and the series notes this product was tested to double the suggested load rating.

The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant 19-inch rack or cabinet using eight 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots in the flanges. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes, replacing the legacy RACS Series. RASU190516BK1 is made in Canada, is USMCA, REACH and RoHS compliant, TAA compliant, and ships at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
