Hammond PPFS19008BK 5U Perforated 19-Inch Steel Rack Panel, Black

The PPFS19008BK is a 5U perforated steel rack panel that covers unused rack space while still allowing air to pass through. It is intended for IT and network teams, AV integrators and facilities staff who need to keep a rack front tidy and organized without fully blocking airflow to active equipment. The panel fits standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails for universal compatibility.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with a smooth powder coat finish in RAL9005 matte black. The same panel is offered in RAL7035 semi-gloss light gray as PPFS19008LG2. The vented perforation pattern allows approximately 25% airflow, supporting cooling and ventilation in rack environments. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the part is REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant, manufactured in North America to support government procurement requirements.

Usable mounting dimensions are 5U, 8.75 in (222 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 0.50 in (13 mm) deep. The drawing shows an overall panel height of 8.72 in (221 mm), a 19.00 in (483 mm) overall width with 18.32 in (465 mm) across the mounting hole centres, and 0.12 in (3 mm) corner radii. Shipping weight is 2.35 lbs (1.07 kg).

Mounting uses four 0.250 x 0.375 in (6 mm x 10 mm) slots, which accept standard rack screws and cage nuts; mounting hardware is not included with PPFS19008BK. Typical uses include data centers and server rooms, telecom and network installations, and high-density racks where airflow must be maintained through otherwise open rack space as part of an active cooling or containment strategy.
