The PMB6687KIT3 is a stainless steel pole mount kit built for Hammond 1556 and 1557 enclosures. It is the 66–87 mm kit with the small clamp (HCLAMP1), accepting poles from 1.5 in to 7 in (3.8 cm to 17.8 cm) in diameter, and the drawing notes it can also be mounted to square or rectangular shapes.
Listed enclosure profiles are 1557F, 1557FA, 1556E, 1556EA, 1556F and 1556FA. The purchased kit includes 2 brackets, 2 clamps and hardware, and all parts are stainless steel. For these enclosures the kit is supplied with #8 self-tapping screws and washers; the listed screw type is #8 x 3/8", and the replacement pack is SCPMB5-20 (#8 x 3/8" SHCS and #10 flat washers, 20 of each).
Installation per the 1556/57 instructions: fix each bracket, washer and screw to the enclosure's outer wall mount holes using a #2 Phillips head and torque to 150 cN.m (13.5 lbf.in). Thread the clamps through the desired bracket slots, wrap them around the pole, thread them back through the bracket, then hold the enclosure against the pole and tighten with a 5/16 in (8 mm) nut drive. The drawing lists a recommended hardware torque of 11.5–13.5 lbf-in (130–150 cN-m).
The bracket is 118.00 mm [4.65 in] overall on the drawing. PMB6687KIT3 ships in a bag at 0.78 lbs (0.35 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The manufacturer notes that the 1556 series is not designed for outdoor use; for poles up to 15 in, see PMB6687KIT4.
