Hammond PMB6687KIT4 15" Pole Mount Kit for 1556/1557, Large Clamp

PMB6687KIT4 is a 15 in stainless steel pole mount kit for 1556 and 1557 enclosure profiles. It is the 66–87 mm kit fitted with the large clamp (HCLAMP2), which wraps poles from 1.5 in up to 15 in (3.8 cm to 38.1 cm) in diameter, so it suits larger masts and columns. The drawing also notes it can be mounted to square or rectangular shapes.

The kit is listed for the 1557F, 1557FA, 1556E, 1556EA, 1556F and 1556FA. Each purchased kit contains 2 brackets, 2 clamps and hardware, all made from stainless steel, with #8 self-tapping screws and washers for these enclosures. The screw type is #8 x 3/8", replaceable with SCPMB5-20, a pack of 20 #8 x 3/8" SHCS and 20 #10 flat washers.

To install, fasten each bracket with its washer and screw to the outer wall mount holes on the enclosure using a #2 Phillips head, torqued to 150 cN.m (13.5 lbf.in). Feed the clamps through the chosen bracket slots, wrap them around the pole and back through the bracket, then tighten them with a 5/16 in (8 mm) nut drive while holding the enclosure against the pole. The drawing's recommended hardware torque is 11.5–13.5 lbf-in (130–150 cN-m).

The bracket is 118.00 mm [4.65 in] overall on the drawing, and PMB6687KIT4 ships in a bag at 0.91 lbs (0.41 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant. Keep in mind that the manufacturer states the 1556 series is not designed for outdoor use. The 7 in small-clamp version is PMB6687KIT3.
