Hammond PJW483610L3PT 48x36x10 Type 4X Enclosure, 3-Point Handle

The PJW483610L3PT is a 48.25 x 36.25 x 10.13 in (1,226 x 921 x 257 mm) Type 4X fiberglass polyester wallmount enclosure with a 316 stainless steel 3-point handle. It serves as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, junction box or terminal wiring enclosure in hose-down, wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive settings.

The box and cover are molded from gel-coat, fiberglass and resin with a nominal 0.19 in (4.8 mm) wall, finished in gray and protected by enhanced UV inhibitors. A continuous 316 stainless steel piano hinge supports the cover, while the 3-point latch with padlock provision draws it against an EPDM gasket. Openings are easily punched, cut or drilled.

For component mounting, 8 collar studs are provided for added stiffness, with hardware included: PVC spacers, SS 3/8-16x2 threaded rod, SS internal teeth locking washers, SS flat washers and SS 3/8-16 hex head nuts. The series lists optional inner panel 18P4533 at 45.00 x 33.00 in (1143 x 838 mm), and the drawing references optional painted carbon steel back panel P4836CS, 0.105 in (2.7 mm) thick. The integrated mounting flange is used for wall mounting.
