Hammond PJU864HF 8x6x4 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU864HF is an 8 x 6 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid cover on a continuous hinge and two glued polycarbonate flanges for wall or surface mounting. It is built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, providing insulation and protection in hose-down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The enclosure and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors that guard against outdoor weathering; the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover swings on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed with two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Outside dimensions are 8.05 in H x 6.27 in W x 4.13 in D (204 x 159 x 105 mm), and the shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Four internal #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU864HF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates between -40°C and 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
