Hammond PJU864CCH 8x6x4 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU864CCH is an 8 x 6 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a clear polycarbonate cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. The transparent hinged cover gives a view of meters, lamps or terminal blocks and swings open for service. The box is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive environments.

The body is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and it can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover rides on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin; on this part the drawing shows four #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel captive cover screws closing it onto a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

External size is 8.05 in H x 6.27 in W x 4.13 in D (204 x 159 x 105 mm), with a shipping weight of 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm).

The polycarbonate feet fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU864CCH is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. The operating range is -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), the impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and it is REACH and RoHS compliant.
