Hammond PJU664HF 6x6x4 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU664HF is the flange-mount, solid-cover version of the 6 x 6 x 4 in PJU hinged junction box. Two polycarbonate flanges glued to the box give a surface-mount footprint, and the cover swings open on a continuous hinge rather than lifting off. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and suits hose-down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive locations.

Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors to protect against outdoor weathering, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. A molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin carries the cover, which is closed by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts onto a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Size is 6.05 in H x 6.27 in W x 4.13 in D (154 x 159 x 105 mm), and the shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws are ready for the optional 14R0505 inner panel, 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU664HF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
