Hammond PJU864H 8x6x4 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU864H is an 8 x 6 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate mounting feet. The hinged cover stays attached during installation and service. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where temperatures are high or the environment is highly corrosive.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover turns on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts, compressing a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws are provided for the inner panel or a terminal kit, and the feet mount with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, with hardware included. PJU864H is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
