Hammond PJU864CCHF 8x6x4 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU864CCHF is an 8 x 6 x 4 in fiberglass polyester junction box with a clear polycarbonate cover on a continuous hinge and two glued polycarbonate flanges for surface mounting. It is intended for instrument enclosures, control housings for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where the contents should stay visible and conditions may be wet, washed down, hot or highly corrosive.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and is easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover is carried by a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and, per the part drawing, closes with four stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Dimensions are 8.05 in H x 6.27 in W x 4.13 in D (204 x 159 x 105 mm), and the listed shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws take the optional 14R0705 inner panel (6.75 x 4.88 in, 171 x 124 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges attach with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The PJU864CCHF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA types, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
