PJU16148H is a solid-cover, foot-mounted Type 4X fiberglass polyester junction box measuring 16 x 14 x 8. It belongs to the PJU Series with continuous hinge and screw cover, and is built for instrument enclosures, control housings for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, and terminal wiring in wet, hot or corrosive settings.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled. A molded hinge with a stainless steel pin carries the cover, which is fastened by captive stainless steel screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings and sealed with a captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.
Size is 16.05 in x 14.27 in x 8.13 in (408 x 362 x 207 mm), and the shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg). Four polycarbonate feet attach with stainless steel screws, and mounting hardware is included. The optional 14R1513 inner panel measures 14.75 in x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm) and fixes to brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws.
The PJU16148H series is UL 508A and cUL listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) and operates from -40°C to 130°C. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
