Hammond PJU16148CCF 16x14x8 Clear Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU16148CCF combines a 16 x 14 x 8 in fiberglass polyester box, a clear polycarbonate lift-off cover and two glued polycarbonate flanges for surface mounting. It is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where the contents should be visible and the location may be wet, washed down, hot or highly corrosive.

Construction is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the box can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover is fastened by four stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings and seals on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

The enclosure measures 16.05 in H x 14.27 in W x 8.13 in D (408 x 362 x 207 mm) and ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg). For mounting equipment inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1513 inner panel (14.75 x 12.88 in, 375 x 327 mm) in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges are secured with stainless steel screws in brass inserts and the mounting hardware is included. Ratings: UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 compliance; IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperature is -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and the part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
