Hammond PJU16148CC 16x14x8 Clear Cover Fiberglass Junction Box, Feet

The PJU16148CC is the largest clear-cover size in the PJU lift-off range: a 16 x 14 x 8 in fiberglass polyester junction box with a transparent polycarbonate cover and four polycarbonate feet. The see-through lid keeps meters, lamps and terminal strips in view, making it a practical choice for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. Four stainless steel captive cover screws thread into #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings, and a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket seals the cover to the box.

External size is 16.05 in H x 14.27 in W x 8.13 in D (408 x 362 x 207 mm), with a listed shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four internal #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1513 inner panel, 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm), or a terminal kit assembly.

The feet mount with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU16148CC is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates between -40°C and 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
