Hammond PJU1086CCL 10x8x6 Clear Cover Type 4X Box with Mounting Feet

The PJU1086CCL gives the 10 x 8 PJU footprint a deeper 6.13 in body: 10.05 x 8.27 x 6.13 in (255 x 210 x 156 mm), with a clear injected polycarbonate cover and four polycarbonate mounting feet. The extra depth helps with taller components or instruments that must remain visible behind a sealed door.

The PJU Series is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 for hose-down, very wet, hot or corrosive sites.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and is easily punched, cut or drilled; the drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall. Hardware on this size is 316 stainless steel: the cover swings on a molded hinge with a 316 stainless steel pin and closes with a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch that includes a padlocking provision. The seal is a formed-in-place polyurethane gasket.

Four #10-32 brass inserts and plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), listed in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel screws; the drawing gives 0.32 in (8.17 mm) holes on 10.75 in (273.04 mm) vertical centers and 11.47 in (291.28 mm) overall height with feet. The enclosure is rated 130°C to -40°C with a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
