Hammond PJU1084L 10x8x4 Solid Cover Type 4X Box with Mounting Feet

The PJU1084L is a solid-cover 10.05 x 8.27 x 4.13 in (255 x 210 x 105 mm) fiberglass polyester junction box mounted by four polycarbonate feet. With a shallow 4.13 in depth and an 8.75 x 6.88 in inner panel option, it works for terminal wiring, splices and compact control components that need Type 4X protection.

The PJU Series is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and for hose-down, very wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive applications. It carries UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings and IEC 60529 IP66.

Box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors and a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover is supported by a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and closed by one lockable stainless steel snap latch on center with a padlocking provision; a closed cell neoprene gasket provides the seal.

Four #10-32 brass inserts and plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The polycarbonate feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel screws, with 0.31 in (7.95 mm) holes on 10.75 in (273.04 mm) vertical centers and 11.47 in (291.28 mm) overall height. Rated 130°C to -40°C; impact index 6.78 J (5 ft/lb); shipping weight 5 lbs (2.27 kg); RoHS and REACH compliant.
