Hammond PJU1086CCHF 10x8x6 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU1086CCHF is a 10 x 8 x 6 in Type 4X fiberglass polyester junction box with a clear polycarbonate cover on a continuous hinge and two glued polycarbonate flanges for surface mounting. It is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where contents should remain visible and the location may be hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness per the part drawing and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering; it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover is injected polycarbonate, swinging on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and closed by two #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel captive cover screws. A formed-in-place (FIP) polyurethane gasket seals the opening.

Enclosure dimensions are 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 6.13 in D (255 x 210 x 156 mm). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws support the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges are fastened with 316 stainless steel screws in #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU1086CCHF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
