Hammond PJU1086H 10x8x6 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU1086H is a 10 x 8 x 6 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, and provides insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and in hot or highly corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish, a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness per the part drawing, and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled. Hardware on this model is 316 stainless steel: the cover swings on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and closes with 316 stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts onto an FIP (formed-in-place) polyurethane gasket.

Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws hold the inner panel, and the polycarbonate feet attach with 316 stainless steel screws in brass inserts, with mounting hardware included. PJU1086H is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
