Hammond PJU12106CCH 12x10x6 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU12106CCH is a 12 x 10 x 6 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a clear polycarbonate cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. Its transparent, hinged cover lets operators read meters and check indicators without opening the box, and it swings clear for wiring. The enclosure is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover rides on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings. A captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides the seal.

Overall size is 12.05 in H x 10.27 in W x 6.13 in D (306 x 261 x 156 mm), with a listed shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1109 inner panel, 10.75 x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm).

The feet fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU12106CCH is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
