Hammond PJU12106H 12x10x6 Type 4X Fiberglass Box, Solid Cover with Feet

The PJU12106H is a Type 4X non-metallic junction box from the PJU Series, built with a solid fiberglass polyester cover on a continuous molded hinge and fitted with polycarbonate mounting feet. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring, and suits panel builders and electricians working where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit and device openings. The cover closes on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket and is held by stainless steel captive screws in threaded brass inserts, each with a retaining O-ring, while the hinge uses a stainless steel pin.

The enclosure measures 12.05 in x 10.27 in x 6.13 in (306 x 261 x 156 mm) and has a shipping weight of 7 lbs (3.18 kg). Threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R1109 inner panel, which measures 10.75 in x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm); back panels are offered in aluminum, white steel and galvannealed, or fiberglass.

Four polycarbonate feet are fastened with stainless steel screws into #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The series carries UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 listings and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. The PJU12106H is rated for operating temperatures from -40°C to 130°C and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
