Hammond PJU1084HF 10x8x4 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box, Flange Mount

PJU1084HF is a 10 x 8 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid cover on a continuous hinge and two glued polycarbonate flanges for surface mounting. Intended uses include instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, particularly where equipment may be hosed down, is very wet, or faces high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors that protect against outdoor weathering, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. A molded hinge with a stainless steel pin carries the cover, and two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings pull it onto a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Outside dimensions are 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 4.13 in D (255 x 210 x 105 mm), and shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws take the optional 14R0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in, 222 x 175 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The flanges fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU1084HF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA types, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
