Hammond PJU1084H 10x8x4 Hinged Solid Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU1084H is a 10 x 8 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. The hinge keeps the cover attached while you wire or service the box. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, providing insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. Entries can be added easily, as the material is readily punched, cut or drilled. The cover turns on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings, sealing on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

The box measures 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 4.13 in D (255 x 210 x 105 mm) and ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), or a terminal kit assembly.

The feet attach with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU1084H is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
