Hammond PJU1084CCH 10x8x4 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU1084CCH is a 10 x 8 x 4 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a clear polycarbonate cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. The shallow 4.13 in depth and see-through cover make it a fit for instrument enclosures and terminal wiring where readings or indicators need to be checked at a glance, as well as electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings and electrical junction boxes in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover swings on a molded hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings. A captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides a positive seal.

Overall size is 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 4.13 in D (255 x 210 x 105 mm), with a listed shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm).

The feet are fixed with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The PJU1084CCH is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
