Hammond PJU1086CCH 10x8x6 Hinged Clear Cover Fiberglass Box with Feet

The PJU1086CCH is a 10 x 8 x 6 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a clear cover on a continuous hinge and four polycarbonate feet. At 6.13 in deep it gives more room for devices than the 4 in deep 10 x 8 model, while the see-through cover keeps indicators and terminals visible. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness shown on the part drawing and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. It can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover is injected polycarbonate on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin, closed by two #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel captive cover screws; a captive oil resistant gasket provides a positive seal.

Enclosure dimensions are 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 6.13 in D (255 x 210 x 156 mm). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The four polycarbonate feet attach with 316 stainless steel screws in #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU1086CCH is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
