PJU1084CCHF is the flange-mount, clear-cover model in the 10 x 8 x 4 in size of the PJU continuous hinge series. Two polycarbonate flanges glued to the box allow surface mounting, and the transparent polycarbonate cover keeps equipment visible while swinging open on its hinge for access. The enclosure serves as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, electrical junction box or terminal wiring enclosure in wet, hose-down, hot or highly corrosive conditions.
The body is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover pivots on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and is secured by two stainless steel captive cover screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings. A captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket completes the seal.
Dimensions are 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 4.13 in D (255 x 210 x 105 mm), and the listed shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). The optional 14R0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in, 222 x 175 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws and comes in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.
The flanges attach with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. Ratings are UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 compliance, and IEC 60529 IP66. The PJU1084CCHF is rated for -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
