The PJ864RTW is the window-cover version of the 8.00 x 6.12 x 4.13 in (203 x 155 x 105 mm) PJ raised-lid junction box. A bonded polycarbonate viewing window in the raised cover keeps gauges, indicators or terminal markings in sight, which is useful for instrument enclosures and small control housings in hose-down, very wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive service.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the material accepts field punching, cutting and drilling. The drawing specifies 316 stainless steel throughout the hardware: a lockable twist latch located on center, the hinge, and four feet with 316 stainless feet screws. A FIP polyurethane gasket seals the lid, and the wall is drawn at 0.14 in (3.55 mm).
Components mount on the optional 14R0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), which fastens to #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panel stock on the drawing includes 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass. Mounting hardware is included, and the latch has a provision for padlocking.
