Hammond PJ664RT 6x6x4 Raised Lid Type 4X Polyester Junction Box

The PJ664RT is the smallest enclosure in the PJ raised-lid twist-latch series, a 6.10 x 6.10 x 4.18 in (155 x 155 x 106 mm) Type 4X wallmount junction box with a solid cover. It is sized for compact instrument housings, small terminal wiring points and electrical junction boxes that face hose-down, very wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive conditions.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled for fittings. A single stainless steel lockable twist latch, located on center, draws the lid closed and includes a provision for padlocking. The drawing shows a stainless steel hinge and a closed cell neoprene gasket; the series specifies a captive, oil resistant gasket for a positive seal.

For internal components, the optional 14R0505 inner panel measures 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm) and mounts on threaded brass inserts; back panel thicknesses on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with stainless screws, and mounting hardware is included.

The PJ664RT is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), carries a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
