The PJ864RT is an 8.00 x 6.12 x 4.13 in (203 x 155 x 105 mm) Type 4X wallmount junction box with a raised solid cover, from the PJ twist-latch series. Its portrait format suits small control housings, instrument enclosures and terminal wiring boxes for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic systems in areas that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
It is compression molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and can be easily punched, cut or drilled. Hardware on this size steps up to 316 stainless steel: the drawing shows a 316 stainless steel lockable twist latch located on center, a 316 stainless steel hinge and four 316 stainless steel feet. Sealing is by a FIP polyurethane gasket, and the drawing lists a 0.14 in (3.55 mm) wall thickness.
The optional 14R0705 inner panel measures 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm) and fastens to #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panel options on the drawing: 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The feet mount to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with 316 stainless steel screws, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ864RT is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates between 130°C and -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and a 4 lb (1.81 kg) shipping weight.
