The PJ30248RT is the tallest 8.13 in deep model in the PJ twist-latch series: a 30.00 x 24.00 x 8.13 in (762 x 610 x 207 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid. It provides generous panel space for control housings, terminal wiring enclosures and instrument enclosures that are hosed down, very wet, hot or located in highly corrosive environments.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing specifies four 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, two 316 stainless steel hinges and a FIP polyurethane gasket, with a 0.14 in (3.56 mm) wall. The draw-type latches include a provision for padlocking.
The optional 18P2721 inner panel is 27.00 x 21.00 in (686 x 533 mm) and mounts on four 3/8"-16 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. On the drawing, back panel stock is 0.100 in aluminum, 0.105 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.250 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet fasten to 3/8"-16 brass inserts on the rear with stainless screws; this size uses the larger mounting foot, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ30248RT is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 31 lbs (14.06 kg).
